  • When is the deadline for submissions for the Spring 2026 issue?
    • The deadline is January 30th, 2026, at 11:59pm CST.

  • What types of submissions are you accepting?

  • When will the Autumn 2025 issue be published?
    • Our Editorial Board is aiming to publish our inaugural issue in December 2025!
  • I’m not able to fill out the Google Form to submit my paper, what should I do?
    • Please email your submission following the submission guidelines and formatting requirements along with your full name, institutional affiliation, class/year, and submission type to ujca@trinity.edu.
  • I’m not sure if my submission would fit into the requirements of “Current Developments,” what should I do?
    • As long as your submission is no longer than 4,000 words (including endnotes) and is an academic work within the social sciences or humanities, it can be submitted under “Current Developments.” If you are still unsure, send us an email at ujca@trinity.edu!
  • I’m not too sure if my submission falls under the scope of the journal, what should I do?
    • UJCA is looking to publish any academic work done in the social sciences and humanities! Examples of issues include, but of course are not limited to, the rise of authoritarian regimes, the nuclear issue, emerging religious ideologies or doctrines, the rise of inflation in the global economy, evolving gender and sexuality spectrums, the preservation of public histories, etc. If you are still unsure, send us an email at ujca@trinity.edu!
  • Will I be notified if my piece did not get chosen for publication?
    • Our Editorial Board aims to contact all students who submitted to the journal, regardless of if their submission was chosen for publication.
  • I am not from Texas, can I still submit?
    • As long as you attend college at a Texas institution, you can submit to the journal.
