- Please complete this form by February 22nd, 2026, at 11:59pm CST to be considered for publication in our Spring 2026 issue.
- Types of submissions:
- Research papers (between 2,000 and 7,500 words, including endnotes)
- This word limit is flexible for submissions that demonstrate a high level of intellectual competence and contribute original research to their respective field. Please contact our Editorial Board if your piece is longer than the word limit.
- Current developments: examples include policy briefs or analyses and argumentative or descriptive essays (between 2,000 words and 4,000 words including endnotes)
- Research papers (between 2,000 and 7,500 words, including endnotes)
- Submission guidelines:
- You must be attending a Texas college or university.
- Only submissions from current undergraduate students and students who have graduated in the previous academic year will be considered for publication.
- The submission must have been written during your undergraduate studies, but it is not necessary for it to have been written as part of your coursework.
- The submission must be original work that did not utilize artificial intelligence (AI), and must not have been published elsewhere.
- Content:
- The submission’s content must focus on issues from the 1990s-present.
- The submission’s content must fall under the overarching theme of the journal. Examples of issues include, but of course are not limited to, the rise of authoritarian regimes, the nuclear issue, emerging religious ideologies or doctrines, the rise of inflation in the global economy, evolving gender and sexuality spectrums, and the preservation of public histories. For any questions about the kind of work the journal aims to publish, please do not hesitate to contact our Editorial Board at ujca@trinity.edu.
- Formatting:
- Title
- Abstract (up to 200 words)
- Keywords (3-5 words)
- We ask that you please title sections accordingly (i.e. Introduction, Methodology, Literature Review, Findings, Conclusion, etc.)
- 12pt font, Times New Roman, 1.15 inch spacing, and 1 inch margins
- Citations must be completed in Chicago Style
- Endnote style citations followed by a bibliography
- Submitted in a Microsoft Word Document format (.docx)
